The KEEN Women’s Voyageur Mid Hiking Boot is a great boot for warmer dry weather.
Keen made a compromise with this boot to trade the waterproofing barrier for a more breathable upper lining.
As a result, the Voyageurs are some of the best-ventilated women’s hiking boots on the market.
The S3 heel support structure offers plenty of shock, stability, and suspension which will help stabilize your heel to avoid ankle sprains.
The outsole includes 4mm multi-directional lugs that absolutely claw the ground and will give you more traction and grip no matter what terrain your trekking through.
Also included in the sole is an ESS torsional shank system and a dual density compression molded midsole which will provide comfort and protection from the rocks and roots below along with added flexibility in the boot.
On the inside are 2 metatomical footbeds that follow the natural contours and arches of your feet which will help prevent bunions and discomfort.
There’s also a toe guard on the front to help protect both your toes and the leather in the uppers.
For such a rugged boot these are very lightweight at around 30 ounces.
They require very minimal breaking in. If you’re looking for a great summertime hiking boot the Keen Voyageur will do the trick.
