Our Take:
The KEEN Women’s Targhee II Mid WP Hiking Boot is a great waterproof boot built to handle even the roughest trails.
The Keen Dry waterproof lining will keep water out of the boot while keeping the inside nice and ventilated.
The boots are extremely lightweight and offer amazing arch support.
The Targhee II’s include the Keen Metatomical footbed which is a removable insole that is built around the overall shape of the foot with a special emphasis on the first metatarsal joint (big toe).
You can easily replace this with your own insole but it is quite comfortable.
The heel is supported 1.5″ from the ground. Pair this with the torsion stability ESS shank and this boot gives a ton of support to prevent any twisting of the ankle.
The toe box is nice and wide and the rest of the interior is wide enough for wider feet.
There’s also a nice rubber toe bumper on the front to give even more protection to your toes.
The soles are built tough with 4 mm multi-directional lugs that can hold up in rocky terrain while providing enough traction and grip to keep you upright.
We love these boots and for under $100 you’d be hard-pressed to find something better.
