Our Take:
The Hennessy Hammock Explorer Deluxe Series gives you all the quality that you expect out of a Hennessy Hammock and then some.
The 210D Oxford nylon fabric holds up quite nicely to even a 300-pound camper and comes with a rain fly, mosquito net, and quality straps.
The rain fly is made with 70D Polyurethane Coated Ripstop polyester to keep you, your hammock, and all your gear dry underneath.
All in all, you’ll lug around just under 4 pounds in total weight, but if you’re using this in place of a tent you’re not giving up any extra weight in your pack and may end up being even more comfortable.
The options of side and bottom entry are also very nice for more setup options.
The bug netting is a double edge sword as it is permanently stitched in, so no option to lay in the open air on a nice bugless day unless you lie the netting flat over the hammock and sit on top of it.
Not a deal killer by far, just something to be aware of.
