Stay Clean On The Trail With A Hot Portable Camping Shower

Maybe staying clean on your backpacking adventure isn’t your main priority, and the thought of lugging around a portable camping shower seems unnecessary.

Especially considering the entire essence of hitting the trail for an extended amount of time is turning your nose up to modern society’s rules of cleanliness.

But at some point after your first few hours of collecting mud, dust, dirt, and scrapes you’ll start to crave some luxuries of 21st-century life.

Even people who survive catastrophic situations and don’t have access to modern utilities say showers are the number one thing they missed.

Why make things harder for yourself on the trail by piling up gunk and odor on your body?

Or even worse, why torture your trail mates with your off-putting hygiene?

Especially since its entirely possible to have good hygiene on the trail without adding too much extra weight to your pack.

This is exactly where the convenience of a portable hot camping shower comes into the mix.

[su_youtube_advanced url=”https://youtu.be/NFLD25zb5II” rel=”no” modestbranding=”yes” https=”yes”]

Why Should I Get A Portable Camping Shower?

For years many backpackers set up camp near a body of water and would hop in to rinse off the day’s muck.

But what do you do if you’re hiking somewhere without access to a body of water?

No products found.
The Camp Chef Triton 10L Portable Water Heater gives you instant hot water, so there’s no waiting around for water to get hot

Or even if you are near a body of water, what if there were rules that specifically stated that there is no bathing allowed?

A camping shower will be the most reliable way to stay clean on the trail.

If you plan on spending more than a couple days in the outdoors you’re going to have to adjust your hygiene practices.

As any experienced backpacker knows things can get out of hand pretty quickly.

On top of simply feeling better after a nice hot shower, keeping clean will help you preserve the quality of your gear.

Keep in mind that the dirtier and stinkier you are, the dirtier and stinkier all of your gear will be.

Your clothes will start getting crusty and your sleeping bag will take on a funky odor.

Also, forget anyone trying to sleep in the same tent as you.

Not to mention you have to store this stuff at home.

Every time you open the closet you’ll be reminded of those sweaty past trips.

If you value the long-term use of your gear and not scaring other people off then plan on doing what you have to do to stay clean.

A portable camping shower will give you the best quality rinse you’re going to find in the backcountry.
